Course Syllabus

Join Nancy Fillip in this hands-on art course that explores colors. It would be hard to imagine the world without color. Starting with the sunrise, to picking out your food, getting dressed and decorating your home, color is an integral part of our lives. So many decisions about our day are based on color. For the emerging or advanced artist, understanding color is crucial to the success of your final product. Naturally we are drawn to certain colors. Perhaps you enjoy the softness of pastels, or the vividness of cool colors. Many artists like to play with their paints and create new colors. We are all so different. The whole idea of how humans perceive color is known as color theory.

 

In this course we are going to explore everything there is to know about the science and art of how humans perceive color as well as how to encompass these ideas to create beautiful artwork.
