Course Description

The world is not a perfect place and it can make things in life much harder than they should be. In many cases, those difficulties are disproportionate--some struggle more than others, even when under the same conditions or circumstances. To make matters worse, those instances are not naturally designed to be unequal for the people involved. Instead, there are factors involved that create that inequality and make things difficult for seemingly no logical reason. It's frustrating and simply an unnecessarily unfair part of life.

Inequality is a major issue that is causing--and has caused--a lot of problems to develop in society. This has extended into nearly every part of people's lives: public, private, professional, etc. One of the worst areas affected by inequality is the workplace, where certain individuals are put at an unjust disadvantage compared to their peers because of some part of their identity or background. While there are many protections in place to help prevent and reduce this from occurring, people often have to take action themselves and create a level playing field in the workplace.

In this course, you will learn about the issues that generate inequality in the workplace, including bias, stereotypes, and prejudice that fuels discriminatory practices. You can learn about what actions can be taken to help identify these issues, combat them, and successfully prevent them from presenting themselves in YOUR workplace. The course will dive into the laws and strategies that are designed to help generate equality in the workplace, and what needs to be done in order for them to actually work.

Creating a level playing field in the workplace is a necessary and honorable endeavor that just isn't being done as much as it should. Do you have what it takes to succeed? Sign up today and find out!
